The process of learning is just as important as the final product. Relevant, real-world processing allows for engaged and active student learning. Students must learn to think critically and have the ability to synthesize information to become productive leaders in our society. I interact effectively with the staff, students and the community. I believe I have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. I have a great appreciation for all types of technology. Taught library and literacy lessons for grades K-5. Utilized available technology for lessons and collaboration (activeboard, ipad, Distance Learning). School webmaster. Implemented positive behavior plan for scheduled classes. Attended regular meetings with other corporation media specialists, director of curriculum and instruction, district technology team, instructional coaches, district literacy team, and the database coordinator .Participated in the Pike Literacy Fair at Pike High Schoo. Co-planned the Guion Creek Literacy Night for families.
